Frequently Asked Questions About Gluten-Free Vegan Breakfasts
A good gluten-free vegan breakfast needs to be filling, healthy, and easy enough that you’ll actually eat it. A muesli parfait, a smoothie, a grab-and-go hummus wrap, or a make-ahead breakfast like date balls or Dutch pancakes are just a few options.
A muesli parfait, yoghurt with gluten-free muesli, a smoothie, or e.g., a Dutch vlaflip take just a few minutes to prepare. Date balls, chickpea-cherry brownies, or a hummus wrap are great grab-and-go options if you’ve done some prep ahead.
Absolutely. Date balls, chickpea-cherry brownies, Dutch pancakes, muesli parfaits, and tiramisu-style cheesecake cups can all be prepared in advance. You can also make a batch of hummus to use in wraps, with breadsticks, or as part of a breakfast bento box.
I like to keep some grab-and-go breakfasts in the fridge for low-energy mornings. Muesli parfaits, date balls, or e.g., wraps filled with hummus and vegetables. Lacking that, I typically fall back on a simple bowl of yoghurt with muesli.
Add a spoonful of tahini to your yoghurt and/or sprinkle with some hemp seeds. Also, most of the recipes I link to in this post are already protein-rich—even the Dutch pancakes.
