No-Bake Vegan Tiramisu-Style Cheesecake Cups

Vegan | GF | High-protein | Nut-free | No rice

Most 5-minute recipes take far longer than that. This one doesn’t.

These No-Bake Vegan Tiramisu-Style Cheesecake Cups combine broken gluten-free Oreo-style biscuits, vanilla quark, and a dusting of cocoa powder into a 5-minute, no-chill dessert. Spoonie-friendly, minimal-effort, and designed for instant assembly.

No (raw) eggs, no coffee, no fuss.

I’ve loved cheesecake for as long as I can remember. I still make them occasionally, but let’s be honest: crushing biscuits, melting (vegan) butter, pressing the base into a springfrom pan,  preparing the cheesecake filling… it’s a lot of work.

Still, over the years I developed my own favourite recipe—a real winner—which I hope to share with you soon(-ish).

When my mother-in-law introduced me to tiramisu, I was not immediately impressed. While I liked it well enough, the coffee was a deal-breaker for me.

So I started looking for recipes but all those steps… Separating eggs, beating egg whites into stiff peaks, brewing and cooling espresso, dipping half a million individual biscuits into cold espresso (or whichever liquid I would decide to use)…

Who has time—and energy—for all of that? Not me!

Still, a guy can dream.

So, the other day, while I was drooling over photos of tiramisu cups, I noticed something: broken biscuits instead of whole lady fingers. And something clicked.

What if tiramisu met cheesecake?

You know: take the best both worlds: broken biscuits for ease and visual interest, vegan vanilla quark spooned over it as a second layer, and a simple cocoa dusting as the finishing touch. No baking, no setting time, no waiting.

I could already picture it. Individually portioned vegan tiramisu style cheesecake cups. Easy, spoonie-friendly, and ready in minutes.

Tiramisu Cheesecake Ingredients

This recipe uses just three basic ingredients: gluten-free oreo-style biscuits, vegan vanilla quark alternative, and Dutch cocoa powder. Plus dark rum as an optional fourth ingredient.

Substitution note

I’m using  Alpro Vanilla Quark Alternative, which is readily available in the Netherlands. If vegan quark isn’t available where you live, a thick vegan Greek-style yoghurt would be a good substitute—just add a few drops of vanilla extract and sweetener to taste.

Prep Time 5 minutes
Total Time 5 minutes

Ingredients

  • GF Oreo-style biscuits
  • Vegan vanilla quark
  • Dutch cocoa powder
  • Dark rum optional

Instructions

  1. Break up biscuits.
  2. Sprinkle with some dark rum (optional).
  3. Spoon over vanilla quark.
  4. Dust with cocoa.
  5. Eat immediately or chill.

Notes

For a more tiramisu-inspired flavour, sprinkle a little dark rum over the biscuit pieces before adding the quark layer.
For the cleanest finish, dust with cocoa powder just before serving.
I used vanilla-flavoured vegan quark for this recipe. If vegan quark isn’t available where you live, you can use a thick vegan Greek-style yoghurt. Just add a little vanilla extract and sweetener to taste if using plain yoghurt.

Variations For No-Bake Vegan Tiramisu-Style Cheesecake Cups

  • Sprinkle the biscuit pieces with cold espresso or coffee extract for a stronger tiramisu profile.
  • Stir cocoa nibs into the quark layer.
  • Add a layer of dairy-free chocolate mousse between the base and quark.
  • Place a single cherry on top.
  • Replace cocoa dusting with chocolate curls or chocolate sprinkles.

Serving Suggestions

  • Serve with hot coffee or espresso.
  • Include as part of a dessert board
  • Serve as an easy make-ahead dinner party dessert

How to Store Your Tiramisu-Style Cups

Store your no-bake vegan cheesecake cups covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Add cocoa powder just before serving for the best finish, as it will gradually absorb moisture from the quark over time.

This dessert is not suitable for freezing, as the texture of the quark may change after thawing.

Allergy Information

Free from: Dairy, Gluten, Eggs, Nuts, Sesame
Contains: Soy (depending on vegan quark used)
Important: Always check labels for allergens and cross-contamination risks

Frequently Asked Questions About No-Bake Vegan Cheesecake Cups

Can I make these vegan tiramisu-style cheesecake cups ahead of time?

Yes. Assemble up to 3 days in advance and store covered in the refrigerator. Add cocoa powder just before serving.

Do I need to chill these cheesecake cups before serving?

No. They can be eaten immediately after assembly. Chilling is optional.

Can I make this recipe without alcohol?

Absolutely. The rum is optional. It does not affect the structure of the dessert.

Why use broken biscuits instead of a traditional cheesecake base?

Breaking biscuits by hand is faster, easier, and creates more texture and visual interest than a traditional cheesecake crust.

Can I use a different type of biscuit?

Certainly. Gluten-free Oreo-style biscuits give a cookies-and-cream flavour, but almond biscotti, chocolate biscuits, or gluten-free shortbread also work well.
